Book tag: Revisión de "La casa de Hades" Rick Riordan (english)

In case you haven’t finished it yet, careful there’s some slight spoilers ahead.

The House of Hades, by Rick Riordan is the 4th book in the Heroes of Olympus series, and to me is a A++++++

Riordan’s flawless humor shows in every single page, the jokes, the scenes, the previous book’s references, everything falls perfectly into place.

The character development HAS to be praised, from Percy and Annabeth on their dangerous journey through Tartarus, to Frank and Jason relizing where they really belong and how they should embrace their true selfs.

A lot of girl power is shown in this book, something I’m really happy for since strong female characters is one of my favorite part in this books.

I MUST talk about the whole Nico di Angelo/Eros/Cupid thing. Kudos to Riordan for showing this side of his character. Recognizing a forbidden love is always the hardest part, but, for a 14 years old boy, reserved, shy and lonely to confess his crush on his male hero is one big step. Frankly I couldn’t care less weather Nico is or not homosexual. It has no importance on the story so far and it certainly doesn’t affect or offend me in any way. On contrair, to me is a good way to show how sometimes when we’re little love may appear in strange situations. To me Nico “loves” Percy ‘cause he sees him as the hero in his childhood.

I won’t spoil you the end of the book, I’ll only say

DAMN CALIPSO, CAN’T YOU SEE HE’S A KEEPER?
Ok, sorry I had to get that out.
In conclution I give House Of Hades a 10/10 score.
